ANTS

Ants! My kitchen counters were crawling with them! Now I saw the Disney movie "A Bug's Life," and I even rooted for them against the mean grasshoppers, but on my kitchen counter they weren't so cute. They are stubborn little creatures. They feed on the tiniest morsel and they are really difficult to get rid of. At first, there is only one. However, if you don't eradicate them immediately you will soon be overrun.

A.N.T.S. Anti-Attractive, Negative ThoughtS. They can be stubborn. They are really difficult to get rid of. They can crawl into your mind and feed on the tiniest little morsel. At first there is just one little one, then before you know it you're overwhelmed with a negative and harmful mind-set. "I can't do that." "The Lord can't use me." "I wish I were more like so and so." This is just Satan's way of crippling our lives.

Anti-Attractive Negative ThoughtS AANTS = SATAN

Just like the little critters, the only way to get rid of A.N.T.S. is to sweep them right out of your mind. Scrub away those thoughts that are depriving you of the joy that Jesus wants you to have. Replace them with positive, uplifting ways of thinking. The Word of God, through Paul the apostle in his letter to the church in Philippi, gives us instructions for exterminating A.N.T.S. You only need to follow the directions as printed.

"...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things...And the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:8-9 NIV
